Biographical Notes:
His family performed in vaudeville where he performed with them at the age of
two.
He tap danced and played drums for a Broadway show called
"Pinwheel".
At the age of eleven he played drums with Art Shapiro and Hot Lips Page.
At the age of twenty-one he had already recorded with Artie Shaw and Tommy
Dorsey.
He was a part of Tommy Dorsey's Orchestra in 1939 and stayed with him until
1946.
In 1968 he starred in his own variety show.
In 1987, Buddy was diagnosed with brain cancer.
